Within the municipality of Hardenberg, about ten employers participated in the National Job Visit Day. This has already led to a number of fruitful networking conversations. The account managers from the Work & Income team are therefore pleased with the results. It’s a great, accessible way to connect companies with interested individuals without immediately entailing any obligations. At the De Koppel Nature Activity Center, a volunteer has already started working there following a visit to the Job Visit Day.

PlastChem also participated in the National Job Visit Day. An interview took place, and there is a 99% chance this candidate will be hired by them. Every new colleague is a welcome addition, and PlastChem is very pleased about that. WTP, Drabo, and Moderna, among others, also participated in this National Job Visit Day. They held a number of interviews, some of which will be followed up on. The companies found the interviews to be positive and personal. They were pleasantly surprised by the number of applicants.

WTP (World Timber Products), a timber wholesaler, was one of the participants. Harry Vos (director of WTP) had this to say about the Job Visit Day: “WTP and the municipality of Hardenberg are working closely together to place candidates who are distanced from the labor market. It can sometimes be a challenge to find the right candidates for the available positions. Nevertheless, we are constantly placing new colleagues in our production department. To be able to fill even more positions, we participated in the National Job Visit Day. Hopefully, this will lead to even more positive results.”

In short, the National Workplace Visit Day was a success. We were able to forge meaningful connections, and we therefore plan to organize the Workplace Visit Day again in 2024.
