FAQ
Frequently asked questions...
, 1. What does participation in the Work Visit Day cost?
Participation is free, both for job seekers and employers. The JobOn Foundation is a social organization that wants to reduce the mismatch on the labor market and supports people in their search for suitable work. However, we do ask participants for their time and commitment. Would you like to support the work of the JobOn Foundation? Then you can make a donation via www.jobon.nl/donatie/.
2. Do we have to have a vacancy?
No, it is not necessary to have actual job openings, after all, the Work Visit Day is all about networking.
3. How much time does it take to join?
Signing up takes about 2 minutes and the networking call usually takes an hour. If you want to share a message on LinkedIn beforehand or afterwards, you might spend an additional 15 minutes.
4. Where does the work visit day take place?
The employer determines whether the networking meeting is physical or online. Physical is most valuable because it allows job seekers to really get a closer look. An employer may also choose to offer a conversation online. Then the employer shares a link by e-mail for Teams or Zoom, for example.
5. Can I join on another day?
Yes, employers will mutually agree on a date and time with the curious job seekers. The networking event does not have to take place on Nov. 20, although that would obviously be the most fun!
6. How many people should/should I talk to as an employer?
By default, each professional is open to three applications. So a maximum of 3 people can apply, but in practice it can be 0, 1 or 2.
7. How many interviews may I sign up for as a job seeker?
We want as many unique people as possible to benefit from Work Visit Day. Therefore, you may sign up for 1 or 2 different employers for networking interviews.
8. I am an employer and my profile is online on the website. I would like to change something, how do I do that?
Send an email to info@werkbezoekdag.nl with the request and we will update it on the website.
9. Can I sign up for a time slot?
No, we ask the employer and job seekers to agree on a date, time and location together.
