The Workplace Visit Day

On November 18, 2026, during National Career Exploration Day, you’ll have the opportunity to talk with professionals from a wide range of roles, organizations, and industries. This will help you discover what the work is really like in practice and give you an honest picture of careers and employers you may not yet be familiar with.

National Career Visit Day is not a centralized job fair or event held at a single location. You choose a participating organization or professional yourself and pay them a career visit. This can take the form of a one-on-one networking session, an open house, or an online meeting. The goal is not to apply for a job, but to explore your options, ask questions, and gain new insights into your career opportunities.

  2. As soon as the list is available, you can search for employers and professionals with whom you'd like to have a casual networking conversation.
  3. Enter your contact information. We will then forward your registration directly to the relevant organization or professional. They will then contact you to schedule a convenient time for the work visit.

You can schedule up to two work visits with different organizations, so there will still be plenty of opportunities available for other interested job seekers.

“It was a very open, positive, and encouraging conversation. The professional even offered me the opportunity to observe in a few different areas to get a sense of the work and be better prepared for an interview. I think it’s truly special that I got to speak with a woman in this position in this way. Kudos for this wonderful initiative!”
