Wednesday, November 16, is Work Visit Day, a wonderful community initiative. JobOn organizes this event with support from the UWV and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, among others. Tof Thissen of the UWV on Work Visit Day:
“Wednesday, November 16, is Work Visit Day, a wonderful community initiative”
“The job market is in a state of intense flux, yet at the same time, it’s stagnating a bit. There are people considering a career change, and there are people who say, ‘I want to get back to work, but I’m not sure exactly what, how, or where I could work.’” There are employers who are losing sleep over the fact that they can’t find enough people. And they’re trying their best to position themselves in the market as ‘I’m an incredibly attractive workplace, a fantastic company.’ Well, there’s a solution: On November 16, job seekers—and anyone else looking for work—can connect with employers and the professionals who work there to get up to speed on “What kind of work do I actually do, and how much do I enjoy it?”
And there are many professionals and employers who open their doors on that day. Take advantage of this opportunity—it’s a fantastic community initiative. The job market needs everyone to contribute to the best of their ability so that all the work that needs to be done can be completed. And so that people can grow and continue to develop.
Join this fantastic initiative. Professionals, current employees, other job seekers, and job seekers receiving benefits—everyone is welcome. Good luck, make the most of it—Wednesday, November 16, will be a fantastic day. Hi!
The job market is undergoing major changes, yet at the same time, it’s stagnating somewhat. Some people are considering a career change, while others say, “I want to get back to work, but I’m not sure exactly what to do, how to go about it, or where I could work.” There are employers who lose sleep over the fact that they can’t find enough people. And so they try to position themselves as best they can in the market by saying, “We’re an incredibly attractive employer, a fantastic company.”
Well, they’ve come up with a solution: On November 16, if you’re a job seeker—or anyone else looking for work—you can connect with employers and professionals who work there to learn more about “What kind of work do I actually do, and how much do I enjoy it?” And there are lots of professionals and employers who will be opening their doors that day. Take advantage of this—it’s a fantastic community initiative. The job market needs everyone to participate to the best of their ability so that all the work that needs to be done can get done. And so that people can grow and continue to develop.
“Professionals, as well as current employees, other job seekers, and job seekers receiving benefits. Best of luck—make the most of it—Wednesday, November 16, will be a fantastic day.”
