You’re old enough and wise enough to start working and earn some good money. But getting a diploma is really important for your future. So we’ve got the perfect combination for you: Work & Learn. Four days a week, you’ll work at a carpentry shop near you. That way, you’ll be home in time to go to soccer practice in the evening. On the fifth day, you’ll go to a ROC. There, you’ll do your homework and make sure you stay on track. And on the weekends? Then you’ll have plenty of time for your hobbies and to hang out with your friends! You can work in places like Heerenveen, Sneek, Leeuwarden, Makkum, Bolsward, Gorredijk, and Drachten. You’ll be at the heart of every product made in a carpentry factory or timber-frame construction company. You’ll work with machines—some of which you’ll set up and operate yourself, while others are computer-controlled. You’ll create the programs that allow the machines to operate and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
Who is Technopark looking for?
Motivation is the most important requirement. Of course, you’ll also need to be somewhat handy and have a desire to work with wood and machines.
What does Technopark have to offer?
Technopark acts as a bridge between you, your school, and the company. We help ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. If you get stuck, we’ll help you get back on track. You can come to our workshop for additional training, and our instructor is available to answer questions and provide assistance. When you start the program, we’ll also give you a uniform package consisting of work pants, a T-shirt, a sweater, and work shoes. Everything you need to start work safely and well-prepared.
